Comprehensive Fit-Out for New Infrastructure
Project Overview
The scope of the project encompassed two key areas:
1. Stores Fit-Out
We provided a fully customised fit-out to ensure the new store building operated at peak efficiency. The features included:
- Drawer Systems: Equipped with dust flaps to protect small and medium parts, ensuring durability and organisation.
- Shelving Units and Longspan Racking: Designed for overflow stock and large parts storage, optimising warehouse space.
- Office Facilities: Fabrication and installation of a fully equipped office building to accommodate staff requirements.
- Mezzanine System: A full custom mezzanine designed for parts storage both above and below, aligned with Glencore’s warehousing strategy.
- Mine-Spec Goods Lift: Heavy-duty, custom-built goods lift to facilitate safe and efficient stacking and dispatching of parts.
2. Mobile Workshop Fit-Out
The mobile maintenance workshop was tailored to enhance efficiency and support the demanding needs of the site’s crew:
- Crew Locker System: Personal lockers for fitters to provide easy access to tools and PPE while maintaining organisation.
- Specialist Tool Storage Lockers: Designed to securely store and prolong the life of specialised tools, tailored to the crew’s requirements and expansion plans.
- Welding Benches and Workbenches: Rated and custom-built for durability, catering to the specific tasks and duties of the team.
- Adjustable Machine Access Systems: Custom-designed access platforms for maintenance tasks, including chassis and engine access for CAT trucks, air filters, and tray access. The system also included engine access for D10 and D11 dozers, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Oil Master Benches and Oil Trolleys: Designed for oil equipment.
- Jibs and Lifting Gear Storage Units: For the purposes of storing lifting equipment.
- Tipping Supply Bin: For simplifying waste management onsite.
Exceeding Expectations

This gear proved its worth by lasting the life of the mine and was even sold on for continued use across the industry once the mine closed—a true testament to its durability, outlasting even a coal seam.
